Section 125

Joseph asked: “What is the will of the Lord…?” The doctrine that we can ask, seek, and knock—fully expecting the Lord to hear and answer—is a tender and crucial doctrine indeed. Jean and I have often sought answers to our prayers regarding our children and marriage.  Our Father in Heaven has heard each of our prayers and answered us according to his will and wisdom.  It has been our experience that it is wise to explore the options available and open as many doors as possible.  Then we try to converse freely about our feelings working assiduously through the problems we face.  Our prayers continue at each turn.  Doors begin to close one by one until the correct course (door) presents itself.  Then we go to the Lord with a request for confirmation/affirmation.  Often he requires us to take a step forward into the dark, acting in faith, and then the feeling that what he have chosen is right comes to our hearts and minds.  We feel peace.
